Parcel weight & size calculator

Couriers charge for whichever is greater: the real weight or the volume the box takes up. Put the numbers in and see both.

Volume
Volumetric weight
Chargeable weight

How it works

Volumetric weight is length times width times height, divided by a number the carrier picks. Air freight usually divides by 5000, road services often by 6000. If you work in inches and pounds, the equivalent divisor is 139.

The chargeable weight is simply the larger of the two figures. A pillow in a big box is charged by volume, a box of bolts by its real weight.

About

We put this page together for our own packing table and left it online because every other calculator asks for an email first. No sign-up, no banners, no newsletter. Numbers only.

Nothing you type leaves your device: the arithmetic happens in the page itself. The server keeps ordinary access logs for a short while and nothing beyond that.
